Key Collection

Finally, the day has come. Oh well, that's not exactly an appropriate opening.. it's not really a long wait.. Just that we had been intentionally taking the bus to pass by the area to see the progress of the flat for the past 2 yrs. In fact, it came much earlier than expected, giving us ample time to work on reno and our big day preparation.

Bottom Left: A set of keys to main gate, main door, master bedroom, 2 common rooms and letterbox

Top: We did not go straight to our place to open the door on that day cos' the sun had set by then and it was not an auspicious day. We went up on the following morning. That's my dad, sprinkling water and rice to "announce" our arrival (to the spirits). And yup, that's my unit number.

Bottom Right: Burning offerings at the void deck.

As the pictures show.. it's really quite a tiny house.. new age 4-room flat indeed. The living room can be sectioned to put a dinning table at the other side. Behind the kitchen is a service yard which is pretty spacious for a washing machine and laundry. Common bathroom and common rooms are bigger than expected. As a result, my master bedroom is pathetically puny. And yes, kuku me missed out the master bedroom with balcony..I must have been very disappted probably haha.. anyway, wun be able to snap a raw picture since the house is currently under reno..

So, after much anticipation, we finally get to see and touch a place we can call our own. Though it has its imperfections, we are more than happy and grateful to get this place. 我們很知足。
