ROM Dress

went to check out the dresses on one of the sundays at far east.. cos rmber there are some shops that tailor-made or sell those type of dresses for prom, dinner, ROM, etc.

Initially, I wanted smthing more casual so that I can still wear it on wedding dinners and such. If not, I was thinking of renting a ROM dress from the bridal shops. I thought of wearing blue or turquoise colours. However, after trying a few, the decision is back to white or off-white as any other colours just make me look like a bridesmaid rather than the bride herself.

I wanted the design which is smthing like this.. Saw a couple of such design and tried them.. was not bad..

Then I went into this shop, Love Potion. They have many dresses and gowns. I tried quite a few as they all look quite promising.. this is one of the ones I tried.. Actually, I am not very into tube-top cut cos I do not have slim enough arms.. I had wanted to try the layered lace bottom. Oh well, end up I did not like the bottom but instead quite like the top cos it's not the typical straight tube-cut. It's "M"- cut and it's lined with pearls (I always have a liking for pearls). Perhaps all the running paid off, I did not look fat in the tube top. So, I end up custom-making my ROM dress (which was not the plan lol) cos I like the top of this dress but the bottom of another! And since I am making it, I added few more personal elements into the dress.

Oh well, the dress will only be ready in the 3rd week of Dec.. till then, I keep my finger crossed (that it will be in time for my ROM in Jan) and will continue running to keep myself in shape for the dress.

Custom-made ROM dress: $169.90
